Land, Buildings, & Real Estate, Stanford University
The Land, Buildings and Real Estate Department (LBRE) at Stanford required a new website to represent 11 departments. Each department provides a wide range of services across campus, including capital planning, project management of all construction, real estate holdings and more. In addition, each department has mission-critical forms and documents that need to be accessible via the website.
Because LBRE wanted to enable department managers to update their own content, Wired Moon implemented the website using the Drupal content management system. Drupal's Zen theme provided the basic structure for the multi-site installation.
Visual design plays a particularly important role in this project by establishing a unified look and feel, while allowing a degree of individuality for each department. Wired Moon helped create this balance by including the same user interface for each department but using different colors and other small variations for each department.
For more on this project, please see the Stanford University News article about the redesigned website.
